Social Media Coordinator


The role

As a key member of the Family team, reporting to the Directors, you’ll be responsible for the implementation of Family Social strategy and the day to day management & development of all our Social Media accounts.


  • Work with the directors to develop the strategy for Social Media
  • Work with the directors on any paid media in the channels
  • Work with Jenine and Rachel to develop relevant content and user journeys from social media to the website
  • Create and implement a content calendar to deliver the results agreed in the strategy
  • Plan and generate compelling editorial content including news releases to support all aspects of the business
  • Ensure a consistent tone of voice for Family
  • Be the gatekeeper of social media
  • Regularly report back to the business on Social Media performance
  • Maximise positive awareness for Family across all owned social platforms
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with any relevant influencers
  • Create, develop & manage innovative, entrepreneurial ideas to deliver cut-through and lead share of voice in the social sphere
  • Support in the creation of content such as imagery and videos for the social platforms
  • Use Social Listening tools to analyse digital communication outreach results – closely monitor & quantify brand and competitor coverage
  • Monitor any posts from customers and define a standard operating policy for responses
  • Agree and monitor KPIs for measuring success
  • Manage and grow the Family social media communities via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest & others
  • Keep up to date with the latest changes in social so that Family can take advantage of them

  • Experience of using social management/moderation tools
  • Experience of using social listening to monitor performance
  • Ability to use Photoshop and video editing software to create content

  • High levels of creative and cultural awareness with an inquiring mind for new opportunities and events.
  • A genuine love for all things social – be regularly active on at least one social platform with your own account
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good team player
  • Strong communicaton skills
  • Multi-tasking, highly organised, excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and to tight deadlines with regular updates to key stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Proven organisational skills and IT skills, together with the ability to prioritise and adapt within a changing environment
  • Ability to show evidence of working in a fast paced and demanding workplace
  • Highly creative and pro-active - proven experience with launch ideas, events, fashion and film
  • Fast learner
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
