The role

As Studio Office Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the success of one of the UK’s leading film, TV and theatre production and rehearsal studios. You will be across the client experience at 3 Mills, and often be the first point of contact for our diverse range of clients. Reporting to the Studio Management Team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks in supporting the Studio Office and Front of House / Reception, which include assisting with sales processes and functions, administrative assistance, liaising with our customers, and communicating with other Studio departments and external stakeholders as necessary.

Tasks

Main duties to include but not limited to;

  • Assisting the Sales and Operations teams in overseeing the client journey throughout the various phases of production and rehearsal
  • Providing an exceptional standard of customer service within a dynamic working environment
  • Liaising with all departments; Operations, Accounts, Management, to ensure a first-class client experience
  • Assistance with Front of House / Reception desk duties, setting the best first impression and providing ongoing assistance with client needs
  • Ensuring the accurate completion of any necessary administration relating to bookings and maintaining customer relations
  • Acting as an ambassador of 3 Mills Studios at all times

2018-19 has seen such a range of productions own the stage at 3 Mills including: Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs, MasterChef for BBC, Cleaning Up for ITV, Year of the Rabbit for Channel 4, The Rook for Starz, and a multitude of rehearsals from English National Opera to Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures, and the BRITs performances – to name but a few!

Person specification

3 Mills seeks an enthusiastic, outgoing and reliable individual who has a passion for, and is keen to learn more about, the film / TV and theatre production industry. The right person will thrive in a busy working environment and will have a flexible and proactive attitude to their workload – always seeking additional tasks when they are up to date with their assignments. They should be a good team-player who is personable yet professional.

This is a customer service role so good interpersonal skills are key, as our collective goal is to ensure the best possible experience for our clients so they continue to return to our facility. Whilst 3 Mills Studios work in an exciting creative environment, there is a good deal of administration and repetition involved in managing a successful studio facility, so the role will require strong administrative and computer skills with good attention to detail. There will be some opportunity to get involved with marketing and social media, so skills in this area would be a bonus. Ultimately 3 Mills Studios are seeking an ambitious individual who will make the most of the opportunities and experience offered in this entry-level position, establishing a network for future career development in the creative industries.
